摘要: Since the earliest experience with permanent pacemakers in 1960s, significant changes have occurred. From primitive, fixed-rate single-chamber devices that were initially used, undergone a major transformation both sophistication and complexity. Originally, used primarily for symptomatic sinus node dysfunction high-grade atrioventricular (AV) block. These simply provided rate support bradycardia. With technologic advances improved understanding of pathophysiology, been suggested as therapy variety additional disorders. Many these applications are not directly related to treatment bradycardia, but rather use pacing alter myocardial activation patterns, suppress tachyarrhythmias, or improve hemodynamic function. This chapter focuses on some newer pacing.
