摘要: Electrical-resistance strain gages, particularly those of foil construction, are advantageously pre-packaged as conveniently-manipulatable and protected sub-assemblies in which the metal gage grid its tabs sandwiched between a flexible tape coated with tacky adhesive partly-cured thin layer fiber-reinforced resin, resin exposed portions adhesive-coated turn being by removable polytetrafluorethylene cover sheet; bonding to measurement specimen is achieved without conventional cementing removing sheet, abutting selected surface specimen, heating while pressing against force partly into surface, stripping after has cured, thereby leaving firmly-bonded close proximity separated therefrom only thinned also locks filaments embedded within that layer.
