摘要: PROTEUS2 is a web server designed to support comprehensive protein structure prediction and structure-based annotation. accepts either single sequences (for directed studies) or multiple whole proteome annotation) predicts the secondary and, if possible, tertiary of query protein(s). Unlike most other tools servers, bundles signal peptide identification, transmembrane helix prediction, beta-strand soluble proteins) homology modeling (i.e. 3D generation) into pipeline. Using combination progressive multi-sequence alignment, mapping, hidden Markov models, multi-component neural nets up-to-date databases known assignments, PROTEUS able achieve among highest reported levels predictive accuracy for peptides (Q2 = 94%), membrane spanning helices 87%) (Q3 score 81.3%). PROTEUS2's services also provide high quality models that compare favorably with those generated by SWISS-MODEL JigSaw (within 0.2 A RMSD). The average takes approximately 3 min per sequence. along source code many its modules accessible http://wishart.biology.ualberta.ca/proteus2.
