摘要: This article reviews modern statistical approaches to estimating species diversity and biotic similarity from empirical samples of abundance or incidence. Key methods include rarefaction, extrapolation, non-parametric estimation the asymptote richness. Hill numbers are presented as unifying indices that take into account relative different species. Species richness estimators, numbers, measures can be extended for phylogenetic, taxonomic, functional biological assemblages. These control sampling effects in biodiversity data applied many important questions ecology.
