摘要: Summary Effects of two important factors on earthquake response high arch dams are considered and combined into one program. These are: effects dam-canyon interaction that local nonlinearity the contraction joint opening between dam monoliths. The substructuring technique is employed, thus equilibrium iteration involves only degrees freedom in nonlinear substructure. For modeling rock canyon, discrete parameters obtained based a curve fitting, allowing system to be solved time domain. A simplified input procedure also used, which takes account radiation damping infinite canyon while preventing artificial amplification ground motion through mass. Two engineering examples given demonstrate significant above-mentioned structure.
