Synthesis and characterization of Ag-ZnO@Clinoptilolite for photocatalytic degradation of Tetracycline

摘要: In this research, degradation of Tetracycline by Ag doped ZnO based on Clinoptilolite (Ag-ZnO@CP) as photocatalyst was investigated under visible light. To synthesize photocatalyst, the wetness impregnation method used. The synthesized characterized using XRD, FT-IR, SEM, BET and DRS analysis. XRD analysis proved crystalline phase about 42 nm. Based SEM images, morphology particles spherical with a mean particle size 55 FT-IR characteristic peak formation Ag-ZnO@CP. bandgap calculated Kubelka-Munk algorithm 2.95 eV. indicated that active in light range. results were shown nanoparticles Ag-ZnO@CP had higher efficiency compared non-silver state. evaluated an initial pH solution, concentration pollutant amount photocatalyst. For 60 min irradiation light, optimal values solution pH, 8, 8 ppm 1 g/L, respectively 77.2 % Tetracycline. Also, photocatalytic sample follows first-order kinetic equation.
