摘要: Abstract Large quantities of slate waste exist throughout the world. Laboratory-scale investigations have suggested possibility making good use this waste, in powdered form, as a raw material manufactured autoclaved aerated concrete. This paper provides property/density relationships for series slate-based concretes which cover wide range densities. Compressive strength, flexural strength and modulus, fracture characteristics been investigated; latter indicate that surface energy, determined by work method, at present offers most satisfactory approach to evaluation toughness these materials. The results show sufficient promise generally should be extended further.
