摘要: Abstract In most western countries, further development of the conservation estate will depend upon active involvement private landowners. To enlist their support successfully demands an understanding landowner attitudes to and also implementation planning methods that encourage on land. Our empirical study focuses forest habitats in rural areas surrounding city Auckland, New Zealand. Planning techniques have been implemented by local authorities facilitate nature landowners are described. The need plan for a regional with reference principles ecology is highlighted we report initial attempt provide ecological assessment Auckland reserve network. Recommendations future management initiatives proposed.
