摘要: Stress fractures of the proximal fibula are uncommon and usually result from axial loading, which is mostly described in runners. We report an unusual mechanism such a fracture circus performer resulting repetitive direct horizontal loading trapeze bar. In addition, bony injury resulted secondary to common peroneal nerve with corresponding weakness. Both injuries responded well nonoperative treatment athlete had excellent recovery no residual symptoms. He was able resume his training use protective padding applied legs.
