摘要: There is a need to transmit the power generated from windfarm in remote locations residential and industrial load. One of suitable economic solution for such long distance transmission High Voltage DC (HVDC) transmission. The Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) based HVDC proven technology with very high quality. A multi-objective control used MMC, one objectives deliver grid, other objective achieve stable operation MMC. In order operation, capacitors MMC should be balanced currents circulating within phases controlled. Many strategies have been proposed suppress Circulating Current (CC). However, there no clear comparison between these strategies. In this paper are reviewed specifically current suppressor. cascaded on PI-controller Model Predictive Control (MPC) outer compared. Results show that traditional method has better steady state performance, while MPC much faster dynamic response advantage involving less loops controlling systems multiple aspects. methods capacitor voltage balancing suppression simulated
