摘要: The study reports a simple and highly selective spectrofluorometric method for trace determination speciation of chromium(III & VI) species in water using 10-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) phenothiazine hydrochloride, namely, promazine hydrochloride (PMH) as fluorescence tagging reagent. is based on the redox reaction between PMH chromium(VI) aqueous H3PO4, resulting formation complex [Cr(III)–PMH] followed by quenching at λex/em = 300/449 nm. An exceptional value limit detection (LOD 0.03 μg L−1) attained with linear range 0.1–1.0 L−1 under optimized conditions. A coefficient variation (CV) ±2.05% (n 5) obtained 2.0 level chromium(VI). Chemical successfully accomplished after oxidation chromium(III) to H2O2 KOH solution pH 9.0. validated environmental samples satisfactory recovery percentages (>97.7%) inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). proposed reference methods are subjected statistical treatment (student's t F tests) 95% confidence no significant difference, indicating precision accuracy optical probe.
