摘要: Both regular exercise training and beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate (HMB) supplementation are shown as effective treatments to delay or reverse frailty reduce cognitive impairment in older people. However, there is very little evidence on the true benefits of combining both strategies. The aim this meta-analysis was quantify effects addition HMB supplementation, physical health adults. Data from 10 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating effect function adults aged 50 years were analyzed, involving 384 participants. Results showed that has no fairly low impact improving body composition, muscle strength, performance 80 years, compared alone. There a gap knowledge beneficial combined with preserve functions aging age-related neurodegenerative diseases. Future RCTs needed refine treatment choices exercises for people particular populations, ages, status. Specifically, interventions older, impairment, frailty, limited mobility required.
