摘要: At the Rotterdam Dokhaven WWTP first full-scale application of SHARON process has been constructed. In process, rejection water from dewatering digested sludge is treated for N-removal. It concerns a highly active operating without retention. The single tank reactor intermittently aerated. Due to differences in growth rate nitrite oxidisers are washed out system while ammonia can be maintained, resulting N-removal over nitrite. selected after comparison with several other techniques. feed concentrated, concentrations 1 g N/l. results show that conversion rates 90% quite possible mainly via route. was shown stable. high inlet pH control great importance, preventing inhibitions. acidifying effect nitrification compensated completely by CO 2 stripping during aeration and denitrification. Heat production biological conversions appeared significant, due concentrations, contributes optimal temperature 30-40°C.
