Performances of the IDEIA HpStAR Stool Antigen Test in Detection of Helicobacter pylori Infection Before and After Eradication Treatment in Algerian Children.

摘要: We aimed to evaluate in an Algerian pediatric population the diagnostic performances of IDEIA HpStAR noninvasive stool antigen test (Oxoid, Cambridge, UK) detect Helicobacter pylori infection before and after eradication therapy. A prospective study including 158 symptomatic children was conducted. Patients were initially diagnosed with invasive (culture, histology, rapid urease test) tests (urea breath test). Infected patients treated, 101 controlled treatment two (culture histology) In children, showed good for initial detection H. also subsequent control treatment. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative accuracy 93.6%, 100%, 87.3%, 96%, respectively, those 100, 92.8, 78.6, 94.2%, respectively.
