Predictors of Mistrust: Towards Basic Characteristics of Czech Mistrusting News Media Audiences

摘要: This study examines audiences mistrusting in Czech journalists. It is based on two representative survey of adult population. Data were subjected to descriptive, correlation and regression analysis. Analysis reveals that public trust journalists declined by a third between 2004 2016. The major contribution the finding mistrust has multi-dimensional structure supports main parts model. analysis revealed five predictors among - age (the youngest respondents), lowest economic background, left-wing orientation, perceived negative ethical image professional suggests significant part returning old communist regime perception as representatives establishment who do not represent its interests.
