摘要: Abstract Extraction of the skin newborn rat yielded two populations galactosaminoglycan-containing proteoglycan: a Mr = 111,000-200,000 dermatan sulfate proteoglycan (DS-PG) with congruent to 55,000 core glycoprotein and 10(6) chondroitin (CS-PGs) composed subpopulations different size core-glycoproteins (Mr 480,000 520,000). Tryptic peptide mapping chondroitinase-treated DS-PG CS-PGs indicated that patterns observed molecules from were identical each other but distinct pattern molecule. It is likely therefore forms are derived same gene product by post-translational modification or partial degradation, product. Comparison concentration (hexuronate/DNA) proteoglycans in fetal showed an age-related change composition; at 4 days before birth, uronic acid proportions, DS-PG:CS-PGs, about 14:1 during next days, increased 2.2-fold whereas decreased 4-fold. On per DNA basis, rate [3H]serine incorporation into was 2.5 times for birth 95% days. The also much lesser extent, so 2 it began exceed CS-PGs. striking labeling can be interpreted either as decrease synthesis, increase breakdown, both, process which might involved transition extracellular matrix type adult type.
