摘要: Abstract The present paper addresses the recent developments in coal gasification regarding commercial Shell, Siemens, GE, ConocoPhillips (CoP), and HTW systems. Based on literature verification data, generic thermodynamic models were developed for state-of-the-art systems integrating deviations from equilibrium. After extension of to proposed new concepts, uniform boundary conditions introduced processing bituminous Pittsburgh#8 a South African with an elevated ash content (25 wt.%(wf)). Subsequently, evaluation processes comparison concepts was carried out terms cold gas efficiency, syngas yield exergetic efficiency. results are illustrated ternary diagrams each which reveal existence clear maxima efficiency between 965 980 °C at 1135 1178 °C. graphical approach leads conclusion that internal circulation fluid-bed gasifier (INCI) entrained slagging transport reactor (E-STR) show potential operate close identified especially high-ash coal. In exergy analysis, influence different cooling techniques assessed before investigation overall Amongst traditional systems, CoP (79.2%) Shell (78.9%) exhibit highest efficiencies while Siemens (76.8%) offers INCI have exceed 80% Pittburgh#8 case ash-rich coal, only holds significantly.
