摘要: Abstract Introduction Single pelvic schwannomas are rare tumor arising from the retrorectal, lateral or obturatory space. Laparoscopic approach to schwannoma located in space has been previously described only one case report. We present a of successful laparoscopic resection emphasizing advantages such minimal invasive approach. Presentation A 54-years-old, obese, male patient was admitted our hospital referring dysuria and strangury. Abdominal CT scan showed well-circumscribed mass with smooth regular margins. CT-guided fine needle biopsy resulted non-diagnostic. An elective performed. The had short, uneventful post-operative course. Pathological examination revealed benign schwannoma. Discussion Using PubMed database, we reviewed English language international literature using MeSH terms “laparoscopic,” “minimally invasive” “schwannoma”. identified quite 20 previous cases removed by laparoscopy robotic surgery. found out that preoperative diagnosis these neoplasms is difficult be obtained; most cases, successfully Conclusion Despite it could not proven yet, due rarity this tumor, agree removal may offer several advantages. direct high-definition vision deeply into narrow anatomical space, especially obese patients, provides detailed view makes easier isolate spear structures surrounding tumor. Furthermore, pneumoperitoneum create right plane dissection, minimizing risk rupture bleeding.
