摘要: Acoustic rangerfinders are a promising technology for accurate proximity detection, critical requirement many emerging mobile computing applications. While state-of-the-art systems deliver robust ranging performance, the computational intensiveness of their detection mechanism expedites energy depletion associated devices that typically powered by batteries. The contribution this article is fourfold. First, it outlines common factors important ranging. Second, presents review acoustic rangers and identifies potential problems. Third, explores design an information processing framework based on sparse representation could potentially address existing challenges, especially devices. Finally, μ-BeepBeep: low service devices, empirically evaluates its benefits.
