[Socio-demographic and lifestyle factors associated with abdominal fat distribution in adults: a population-based survey in Southern Brazil].

摘要: This article describes the anthropometric distribution of abdominal fat in urban adult population Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and influence independent variables on this distribution. In a cross-sectional population-based study, 3,464 adults from 20 to 69 years age were selected multistage systematic sampling. They interviewed had their largest circumference measured. Means compared using one-way ANOVA, while multiple linear regression models employed adjust for confounding. According older white married men with higher family incomes more likely have highest mean circumferences (p < 0.001). Women at greatest risk mothers history 4 or pregnancies less schooling Former smokers both males females, other lifestyle factors such as alcohol consumption physical activity showed no association outcome after adjusting
