The Formation of Adenosine in Rabbit Liver and Its Possible Role as a Direct Precursor of Erythrocyte Adenine Nucleotides

摘要: Abstract The possible role of the liver, as a source purine and derivatives, for synthesis nucleotides in other tissues was investigated by studying formation release these compounds under conditions situ perfusion. Rabbit liver perfused with labeled [3H]adenine then an oxygenated solution containing unlabeled adenosine yielded both hepatic venous effluent. As period perfusion proceeded, there increase percentage radioactivity associated effluent decrease free adenine. Similar results were obtained comparable experiment [3H]hypoxanthine labeling, but not great no detectable specific activities acid-soluble derivatives suggest initial incorporation into followed conversion to nucleosides. rabbit suspension washed human erythrocytes, isotonic plasma, resulted transfer from adenine within erythrocytes perfusate. A similar pattern observed slices prepared previously [3H]hypoxanthine, incubated vitro erythrocyte suspensions. Since mature does possess capacity convert inosine 5'-monophosphate 5'-monophosphate, moiety cell is limited or adenosine. This study suggests that adenosine, formed released may play maintenance renewal erythrocytes.
