摘要: Dielectrophoresis is the movement of particles in non-uniform alternating and direct current (AC, DC) electric fields. When nonuniform fields are created between microelectrodes, cells will redistribute themselves around electrodes, force holding place dependig on local field electrical properties suspending medium. Steric drag forces produced by a gentle fluid flow chamber can be used to separate selectively lifting from potential energy wells field. The technique demonstrated batch separation bacteria, yeast cells, plant cells. Continuous extraction two cell types achieved repeated reversing direction phase with switching off applied voltage, efficacy for viable nonviable (heat-treated) (c) 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
