摘要: Abstract Particulate TiC-reinforced ferrous matrix composites were processed by solidification of (1) an FeTiC melt appropriate composition from which particulate titanium carbide precipitates and (2) FeC in is dispersed through electromagnetic stirring. The microstructure precipitating was controlled controlling homogeneity, as well cooling rate. That dispersing powder a steel or cast iron the original composition, volume fraction particle size added, mixing temperature time, specific wear rate friction coefficient between diamond stylus polished surface composite specimens decreased with increasing decreasing spacing. They also microhardness, achieved heat treatment martensitic transformation.
