摘要: Reverse osmosis data of 32 different alcohols and phenols 22 monocarboxylic acids in aqueous solutions the concentration range 0.0001 to 0.007M (∼100 ppm most cases) have been studied using porous cellulose acetate membranes at 250 psig. Solute separation for are correlated with Δνs (shift OH band maximum IR spectra), those Ka (dissociation constant) degree dissociation molecule. decreases increase phenols. The solute separation-versus-Ka correlation passes through a minimum, always increases dissociation. also Taft Hammett numbers which represent effect substituent group on polar product rate show general tendency decrease all cases. These results that, respect systems considered, reverse is governed by hydrogen bonding ability organic molecule when it essentially undissociated electrostatic repulsion ions partially or completely dissociated. Thus, phenols, acids, constitute precise physicochemical criteria above solutes membranes.
