Magnetic resonance imaging of prostate cancer

摘要: Management of carcinoma the prostate has traditionally been guided by digital rectal examination, and laboratory data such as serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level histopathologic tumor grade. The introduction endorectal coil improved ability magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to contribute staging treatment planning cancer, especially in cases confined or locally invasive disease. Exciting research fields spectroscopy (MRS) MR-guided intervention may soon expand role MRI diagnosis cancer. This article reviews current techniques, features efficacy staging, future uses MR brachytherapy.
