摘要: The fruit fly Drosophila has contributed significantly to our general understanding of the basic principles signaling, cell and developmental biology, neurobiology. However, answers questions pertaining energy metabolism have been so far mostly addressed in more complex model organisms such as mice. We review this article recent studies that show how genetic tractability simplicity are being used identify novel regulatory mechanisms at organismal level, query co-ordination between other processes neurodegeneration, circadian rhythms, immunity, tumor biology.
