Eliciting Drivers of Community Perceptions of Mining Projects through Effective Community Engagement

摘要: Sustainable mining has received much attention in recent years as a consequence of the negative impacts and public awareness. The aim this paper is to provide companies guidance on improving sustainability their sites through effective community engagement based advances literature. It begins with review literature sustainable development its relationship stakeholder engagement. then uses determine dominant factors that affect perceptions projects. These are classified into five categories: environmental, economic, social, governance demographic factors. Then, we propose new two-stage method discrete choice theory classification can improve be cost-effective. Further work required validate proposed method, although it shows potential overcome some challenges plaguing current approaches.
