摘要: Abstract Awareness of peri-urban farmland multi-functionality and social concern for food security have prompted public action the preservation around cities. A growing literature on farming characterises its dynamics quantifies urban pressure consumption by sprawl. However, such research requires expensive surveys comprehensive databases that are usually inaccessible to planners public-policy analysts. This paper presents an analytical framework characterisation is operational action. Based in-depth analysis a Mediterranean local case study using surveys, on-site landscape reading, remote sensing interviews, we classed into spatial units agriculture (USAPU). The classification obtained over seven municipalities was later used train fractional regression model, which then tested rest this French departement (similar NUTS-3 level), predict presence actual proportion each USAPU in total agricultural land municipality. Furthermore, drew up categories municipality according distribution open perspectives farming. We discussed whether model could be as instrument decision-making planning, rather than simply fairly reliable future predictions. work starting point development methodology characterising complex areas, simple handle hence policy-makers planners.
