摘要: Background The association between pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) and postoperative outcomes remains unknown. This study investigated following non-chest surgeries in patients with previous TB. Methods Using Taiwan’s National Health Insurance Research Database, we analyzed 6911 (aged ≥ 20 years) preoperative diagnosis of TB propensity score-matched controls receiving 2008–2010. Postoperative were compared or without by calculating adjusted odds ratios (ORs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs) the multivariate logistic regressions. Results Surgical had a significantly higher complication rates than controls, including septicemia, pneumonia, acute renal failure, deep wound infection, overall complications, 30-day mortality (OR 1.41; CI 1.07–1.86). The ORs low-income status as high 2.27 (95% 1.03–5.03). Preoperative use drugs TB-related medical expenditure also associated among surgical TB. Conclusions have increased risks complications after surgeries. suggests need to improve care for TB.
