摘要: Waterborne parasites that infect both humans and animals are common causes of diarrhoeal illness, but the relative importance transmission between vice versa remains poorly understood. Transmission infection from to via environmental reservoirs, such as water sources, has attracted attention a potential source endemic epidemic infections, existing mathematical models waterborne disease have limitations for studying this phenomenon, they only consider contamination reservoirs by humans. This paper develops model represents within animal human populations. It also improves upon including sources explicitly. Linear stability analysis simulation results, using realistic parameter values describe Giardia in rural Australia, show an host with zoonotic protozoa can result hosts, even absence person-to-person transmission. These results imply is important.
