摘要: We assessed the efficacy of combination propranolol and potassium iodide in preparation patients with Graves' disease for thyroid surgery. Potassium was given orally a dose 60 mg three times day 10 days before operation who were already receiving propranolol. In contrast to previous experience either drug used singly, combined regimen caused significant fall mean serum total thyroxine triiodothyronine levels euthyroid range (P less than 0.001). There also 0.05) transient rise after reverse triiodothyronine. These preliminary results suggest that may prove be optimum preoperative disease.
