摘要: Abstract The design of β-cyclodextrin/multiwalled carbon nanotubes hybrid (β-CD-MWCNT) as nanoplatform for the entrapment and delivery guanine based drugs is described here. functionalized nanomaterials have been characterized by XPS spectroscopy, electron microscopy (FEG-SEM TEM), AFM, TGA, FT-IR to achieve insights on structure, morphology chemical composition. drug binding abilities nanocarrier towards (G) Acyclovir (Acy) were proved UV–vis DSC experiments. Host–guest equilibrium association constants loading evaluated G/β-CD-MWCNT Acy/β-CD-MWCNT complexes. release studies showed a sustained Acy without initial burst effect confirming strong interaction with sites. preliminary antiviral data indicated that loaded into β-CD-MWCNT platform interferes HSV-1 replication antireplicative was higher than free drug.
