Thrust characteristic of a multipoint-grid type EHD gas pump under negative corona operation in air

摘要: The ionic wind technology produced by corona discharge has drawn massive attention as a new driving force, especially in flow control applications. This paper introduces non-friction test platform with air track order to gauge the thrust 19 points-to-grid and 31 EHD gas pump. Five major parameters of pump are focused, which includes electrode gap, spacing point electrode, curvature tips, applied voltage current. Through experimental study, relationships between performance its clarified. Eventually, method achieving high low power consumption is brought up.
