摘要: Mechanisms of bacterial resistance to biocides can conveniently be considered as being two types: (i) intrinsic, a natural property an organism; (ii) acquired, resulting from genetic changes in cell and arising either by mutation or the acquisition plasmids transposons. Intrinsic is demonstrated spores, mycobacteria Gram-negative organisms also shown physiological (phenotypic) adaption exemplified cells growing biofilms. Acquired has been found with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains, but most widely seen mercury compounds other metallic salts.
