摘要: Purpose The purpose of this study was to better understand the experiences people suffering from chronic pain in order plan client-centred educational interventions. Methods People community with were invited via newspapers, newsletters and e-mail discussion lists participate a needs assessment process attend an session at local college. Using nominal group technique, which is qualitative method data gathering, 53 participants reported their perceived challenges dealing pain. Participants randomly assigned one 10 groups ranging three seven people. Responses pooled develop overall list major concerns needs. Results Issues classified into six priority areas: medical treatments, problems daily living, emotional distress, social issues, sleep disturbances financial issues. indicated they had difficulty finding accessible, effective acceptable care. Many family physician or other health-care providers not adequately meeting needs. Specifically, disorders; feeling depression, irritability, worry anxiety as treatment areas requiring improvement. In addition, sought greater validation lived experience pain. Conclusion that being met adequately. There need for further on physician–patient communication its impact patient health status disability.
