Proteolytic activity of a clinical isolate of Cryptococcus neoformans.

摘要: A clinical isolate of Cryptococcus neoformans was grown on essential salts medium without (NH4)2SO4 and supplemented with bovine serum albumin as the sole carbon nitrogen source. Growth this resulted in secretion proteolytic enzymes by organism. The protease inhibited glucose. Proteolytic activity may be a factor virulence pathogenicity C. neoformans.
