摘要: The activities of insulin-like growth factors (IGFs), including mitogenic and antiapoptotic properties, are modulated by a family high-affinity factor-binding proteins (IGFBPs), which IGFBP-3 is the major serum carrier protein. Even though it well known that plays an important role in cell proliferation, expression its significance primary non-small lung cancer (NSCLC) samples unknown. This study explored tumor from 74 patients with diagnosis pathological stage I NSCLC to determine if status IFGBP-3 influences prognosis NSCLC. Two-sided statistical analyses were performed correlate clinical parameters prognostic effect level this cohort. Reduced was found 42 (56.8%) samples, more frequent large carcinoma than squamous adenocarcinoma, although difference not statistically significant. phenomenon associated other clinicopathological tested, such as age, sex, histological grade, smoking history. Significant correlation between disease-specific survival noted (P = 0.019 log-rank test). Although nonsignificant, decreased had shorter overall, disease-free, event-free rates did normal expression. In multivariate analysis using parameters, remained independent factor for predicting probability 0.020). Our work demonstrates down-regulation event correlates These results suggest functions suppressor determining biological aggressiveness early
