KEMM: A Knowledge Engineering Methodology in the Medical Domain

摘要: Medical research and clinical practice deal with complex heterogeneous data. This requires a systematic approach for semantic integration of information to support clinicians in their daily tasks. As the speak think very different language than that computer scientists, existing knowledge engineering approaches based on classical expert interviews fall short. Moreover, as human health is sensitive subject, reuse standardized hence reliable ontologies medical resources becomes key requirement. In this paper, we first discuss specific requirements, identified along image text retrieval use case. Then report ongoing work towards establishing corresponding methodology ontology derived from requirements. The methodology, which will be discussed detail, relies novel technique semi-automatically generating set potential user queries elicitation process.
