摘要: Abstract Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetry analysis (TGA) were used to study the thermal performance of wear debris worn pin tops polyetheretherketone (PEEK) after unlubricated sliding tests at a constant speed 1 m s −1 . It was found that friction interfacial temperature might have ranged from 300°C 345°C, hence favouring plastic flow mechanisms occur resulting in lubricating effects. In addition, oxidative cross-linking reactions took place PEEK as testing proceeded, causing reduction crystallizability. The most significant changes behaviour observed produced under lower load ngs (i.e. 3 MPa). possible structure-property relationships affected mode morphological feature are discussed.
