Finite size scaling analysis of Ising model block distribution functions

摘要: The distribution functionPL(s) of the local order parameters in finite blocks linear dimensionL is studied for Ising lattices dimensionalityd=2, 3 and 4. Apart from case where block a subsystem an infinite lattice, also systems with free [PL(f)(s)] periodic [PL(p)(s)] boundary conditions treated. Above critical pointTc, these distributions tend largeL towards same gaussian centered around zero magnetization, while belowTc two gaussians at ±M, whereM spontaneous magnetization appearing systems. However, wings small |s| are distinctly nongaussian, reflecting two-phase coexistence. Hence functions can be used to obtain interface tension between ordered phases.
