摘要: Several outbreaks of hepatitis A occurred in Norway 1995-8. Molecular epidemiology was used to follow the spread virus population. Distinct strains (HAV) were detected by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and subsequent sequencing serum from patients different communities at risk infection. Two HAV an outbreak among 26 men having sexual contact with other men. One these also a geographically limited family outbreak. The first believed be acquired abroad. sequence information linked two outbreaks, epidemiological serological analyses revealed transmission route. This study demonstrates importance molecular investigation, surveillance monitoring
