摘要: We extended the sensitivity of Raman correlation spectroscopy in solution to single-molecule level by applying surface- and resonance-enhanced scattering (SERRS) combined with time-gated, confocal signal detection. The brightness SERRS single Rhodamine 6G molecules adsorbed on a silver nanoparticle is comparable fluorescence. Rare event analysis reveals existence few particles simultaneous fluorescence signal. observation dynamic exchange between heterogeneous binding sites supported multiple brightnesses intensity distribution fluctuations 60 μs time range detected autocorrelation analysis. Finally, polarization-dependent curves single-particle allowed us measure individual rotational diffusion times directly analyze heterogeneity ensemble solution.
