摘要: As global urban regions grow and transform, water systems present a unique set of challenges to stakeholders. Municipalities often struggle pay for maintain aging infrastructure as well create equitable access growing populations—especially in the rapidly urbanizing Global South. Critical approaches governance have made tremendous contributions our collective knowledge how these work. In this study, we argue that most important direction is translate insights generated by critique into positive project construct more just democratic practices governance. However, contend order do work, critical scholarship on will need continue deepening its engagement with two larger sets debates. First, help realize systems, it grapple complex dimensions debates theorize conceptualize justice democracy. Second, effective alternatives current paradigms governance, show recent conceptualizations hybrid or heterogeneous assemblage can build truly transdisciplinary collaborations. We explore through review attention ways forward embrace epistemological pluralism collaboration.
