ZrO2 and ZrO2SiC particle reinforced MoSi2 matrix composites

摘要: Abstract ZrO 2 MoSi and (ZrO SiC)MoSi composites were fabricated by hot pressing-hot isostatic pressing at 1700 °C. No reactions between , SiC MoSi observed. An amorphous silica glassy phase was present in all composites. Composites with unstabilized particles exhibited the highest room temperature fracture toughness, reaching a level three times that of pure . Both toughness 1200 °C strength higher than those composites, indicating beneficial effects combined reinforcement phases. Low levels observed 1400 as result presence phase. Elimination phases refinements microstructural homogeneity are processing routes important to optimization mechanical properties these types
