摘要: Abstract 1.1. Data on fifty patients with proved pulmonary stenosis and intact ventricular septum are presented. 2.2. The symptomatology is dominated by severe dyspnea fatigue, mild if any cyanosis. About 25 per cent of the have no symptoms. 3.3. characteristic findings include a rough systolic murmur diminished second sound at upper left sternal border, evidence right hypertrophy in electrocardiogram, enlargement, prominent main artery vasculature roentgenograms. 4.4. Physiologic data reveal varying degrees hypertension gradient across valve. pressure tracings suggest presence valvular majority instances. Arterial unsaturation rest always indicates found about 10 cases. 5.5. A significant correlation between electrocardiographic could be established this series. 6.6. Operative results twenty-one subjected to Brock valvotomy There were three fatalities, all exhibiting failure. All survivors showed clinical improvement. In seven eight studied cardiac catheterization postoperatively, satisfactory drop was achieved. 7.7. therapeutic classification proposed: (a) Infants congestive failure should operated as soon diagnosis made. (b) Patients suggesting pressures 100 mm. Hg or over usually upon an appropriate time. (c) whom indicate that probably under observed carefully but need not operation.
