摘要: The prevalence of islet cell antibodies in children with Type 1 (insulin-dependent) diabetes was determined a cohort 678 children. natural course followed 375 at year, 252 and 135 after 2 3 years respectively. Islet were by indirect immunofluorescence on cryostat sections human pancreas. At diagnosis 85% the had detectable (mean titre 10.4). After 62% still antibody positive 2.9) indicating greater persistence than described earlier studies. In this large significant correlation between or sex, age HLA-DR type not observed except for faster loss very young boys patients lacking types 4. Complement fixing correlated high antibodies. Greater seen cases during first half year.
