摘要: The ground and few excited states of the electrons confined in a square GaAs quantum wire (QW) subjected to an external transverse electric field are investigated using finite difference method within effective-mass approximation. When is applied along side wire, calculation eigenstates has exactly solvable problem whose solutions involve linear combinations two independent Airy functions. Compared with exact analytical results functions, obtained by use terms particle QW excellent agreement. Subsequently, it considered that depend on orientations respect center axis QW. It interesting peak value energy found for directed diagonal QW, which can lead large shift. Meanwhile, dependence optical absorption phenomenon investigated. shown spectrum depends highly upon polarization intensities orientations.
