摘要: Publisher Summary Selective toxicity is the basis of all successful therapeutic agents. The intrinsic similarity in physiological, bioenergetic, and biochemical properties energy transducing membranes living cells makes it particularly difficult to find agents acting upon membrane enzymes possessing any degree selective toxicity. Few many inhibitors membrane-bound magnesium-activated adenosine triphosphatases (Mg2+-ATPase) described have ever been used therapeutically other than as antiseptics or for topical application. These compounds proven be invaluable tools study bioenergetics. Their use has led an understanding function Mg2+-ATPase systems, differentiation proton-translocating region enzyme from site(s) ATP hydrolysis syntheses.
