摘要: Stochastic driven flow along a channel can be modeled by the asymmetric simple exclusion process. We confirm numerically presence of dynamic queuing phase transition at nonzero obstruction strength, and establish its scaling properties. Below transition, traffic jam is macroscopic in sense that length queue scales linearly with system size. Above only power-law shaped remains. Its density profile as deltarho approximately x(-nu) nu=1/3, x distance from obstacle. construct heuristic argument, indicating exponent nu=1/3 universal independent underlying Fast bonds create depletion queues, an could equal to nu=2/3, but numerical results yield consistently somewhat smaller values nu 0.63(3). The implications these faceting growing interfaces localization directed polymers random media, both columnar defect are pointed out well.
