摘要: Abstract Despite garnering high interest in fish nutrition as an essential amino acid a number of teleosts, the metabolic and physiological functions taurine remain poorly described fish. This study describes postprandial changes Florida pompano juveniles fed taurine-replete diet, followed by wide screening markers when taurine-deficient diet over 16 days. The goal was to screen for early deficiency identify its initial components. Postprandial levels varied between 106.75 170.37 μg/ml with mild peak at 2–4 h after feeding, decreased 72.1% baseline value 6 h. Fish did not have reduced hematocrit or increased bilirubin, suggesting absence hemolysis. However, linear decreases alkaline phosphatase activity bile content were observed (R2 = 0.5968 0.5613, respectively, P 0.75, Statement relevance manuscript presents results scientific research relevant field aquaculture.
